Are you using enough Boveda packets?
The number of Boveda you use depends on the size of your instrument or the type of accessory.
RECOMMENDED NUMBER OF BOVEDA PER INSTRUMENT:
- Guitars, Basses & Large Instruments: Minimum of three (3) B49 (or B49HA High Absorbency) packs per instrument.
- Ukuleles, Violins & Small Instruments: Minimum of one (1) B49 (or B49HA High Absorbency) packet per instrument.
- Instrument Bows: Minimum of one (1) B49 Size 8 pack per bow case/holder.
- Woodwind Reeds: Minimum of one (1) B72 Size 8 pack per reed case.
USING ADDITIONAL BOVEDA IN YOUR INSTRUMENT CASE:
Feel free to use as many additional packs in your case that you would like—or your climate dictates. ALWAYS insert Boveda packs into a Boveda Holder before using in your instrument case. Extra Boveda Holders are available here.
- No Over-Humidification: Unlike sponges or snakes, Boveda 2-way humidity control will never over-humidify your instrument.
- Higher Efficiency: Adding more packets makes them last longer and work more efficiently to regulate humidity levels.
- Flexible Usage: Use more packs for larger instrument cases or extreme environments (humidity below 40% or above 60%).
