What's the difference between the Boveda Directional Holder and the other Boveda Holders?

The Boveda Directional Holder is exclusively for acoustic instruments on display that have a central sound hole (like acoustic guitars or ukuleles).

HOW THE BOVEDA DIRECTIONAL HOLDER WORKS:

  • Use whenever your acoustic instrument with a sound hole is out of its case or on display.

  • The vegan leather barrier on one side of the holder creates a capped seal over the sound hole.

  • A Boveda packet's pure water vapor can directly interact with the wood in the body of the instrument.

HOW THE OTHER BOVEDA HOLDER WORKS:

  • Use with any wooden instrument while it's inside its case.

  • Both sides of these holders allow for water vapor to flow in and out and throughout the instrument case.
