Will Boveda over-humidify my instrument?
No. Boveda is specially formulated to maintain a stable humidity range between 40 and 60%, so it can't over-humidify the instrument it's protecting.
BOVEDA VERSUS SNAKES AND SPONGES:

One-way humidifiers, like snakes, sponges, etc. can over-humidify your instrument. (They're also messy, imprecise, and difficult to maintain.)

Boveda works automatically to maintain a stable environment in an instrument case. The 2-way humidity control will never over-humidify your guitar or other wooden instrument.
MORE PACKETS = MORE PROTECTION:
While we recommend a minimum number of Boveda to store with each instrument, feel free to use as many additional packs in your case that you would like—or your climate dictates, such as:
- In extremely dry environments (below 40% RH)
- In extremely humid environments (above 60% RH)
ALWAYS insert Boveda packs into a Boveda Holder before using in your instrument case.
