Can I calibrate a hygrometer using any Boveda RH?
We recommend that you use the Boveda Calibration Kit to accurately calibrate your hygrometer.
While our packs are accurate in an airtight environment within +/- 1%, Boveda's calibration formula is even more accurate, within +/- .5%.
If you want to use another Boveda RH (relative humidity) you could, but WE DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THE 49% RH PACK(S) TO CALIBRATE A HYGROMETER. The 49% RH formula maintains a specific RH range instead of a specific RH like our other packs.
