Can Boveda protect instruments on display from humidity changes?

Yes. Boveda provides two solutions to maintain stable humidity for instruments on display: the Boveda Directional Holder and Boveda B49 Size 320.

BOVEDA BALANCES HUMIDITY FOR INSTRUMENTS ON DISPLAY

For Acoustic Instruments on Display:

  • Boveda Directional Holder: Designed for acoustic instruments with a central sound hole (guitars, ukuleles, etc.). This specially designed holder creates a capped seal over the sound hole, so the water vapor in Boveda can interact with the wood of the instrument body while displayed outside a case.

For Instrument Display Cases/Storage Cabinets:

  • Boveda B49 Size 320: Designed for enclosed display cases or storage cabinets. Use one (1) Size 320 per instrument (up to 6 instruments per display case) to maintain optimal relative humidity.
