How do I season a wood humidor with Boveda?

Boveda makes specialty 84% RH seasoning packets that thoroughly and precisely season a humidor over 14 days. Use one (1) Size 60 pack for every 25 TOTAL cigars your humidor is designed to hold. (Example: for a 100-cigar capacity humidor, use four (4) Size 60 Boveda at once.)

DIRECTIONS FOR SEASONING A HUMIDOR WITH BOVEDA

  1. Remove the clear overwrap from the Boveda 84% RH packs.
  2. Place all of the unwrapped seasoning packs inside the EMPTY wooden humidor.
  3. Close the lid and DO NOT open the humidor for 14 days—no matter what the hygrometer readings are.
  4. After 14 days, open the humidor. Remove the seasoning packs and discard them—they aren’t reusable.
  5. For ongoing cigar protection in your wood humidor, use Boveda 69% RH packs.
