How many Boveda packs do I need for my instrument?

It depends on the size of your instrument or the type of accessory.

RECOMMENDED NUMBER OF BOVEDA PER INSTRUMENT:

  • Guitars, Basses & Large Instruments: Minimum of three (3) B49 (or B49HA High Absorbency) packs per instrument.
  • Ukuleles, Violins & Small Instruments: Minimum of one (1) B49 (or B49HA High Absorbency) packet per instrument.
  • Instrument Bows: Minimum of one (1) B49 Size 8 pack per bow case/holder.
  • Woodwind Reeds: Minimum of one (1) B72 Size 8 pack per reed case.
Note: Using more Boveda packs than the minimum in a Boveda Holder will not over-hydrate your instrument; it simply makes the packs last longer.
